Lau Kar Leung was respected in life, so yesterday inside and outside the hall were floral arrangements. Known as the "Thief King", Yip Kai Foon also sent one that said, "Dear Mr. Lau Kar Leung, forever honored and respected, Yip Kai Foon". Reportedly, Mary Jean Reimer in order to write her DANGEROUS PERSONS column got in contact with Yip Kai Foon who was in jail. In 2003 he was even a witness at her wedding ceremony.

Over 100 year old Uncle Six, Sir Run Run Shaw (Siu Yat Fu), without any hesitation sent a floral arrangement along with his wife Mona Fong Yat Wa and wrote "Master Kar Leung, Forever Missed". Uncle Six had high regards for Lau Kar Leung and made him a director. His first film was already a big hit.

Among the arrangements Anthony Wong Chau Sun, Chen Kuan-Tai, Eddy Ko Hung and others' joint arrangement caught the most attention. The Emperor Motion Picture YUT GOR YUN DIK MO LUM (THE MARTIAL ART WORLD OF ONE PERSON) earlier held its production start ceremony. Boss Albert Yeung Sau Sing led director Teddy Chan Tak Sum, actors Donnie Yen Chi Tan, Wang Baoqiang, Charlie Yeung Choi Nei, Alex Fong Chung Shun, Bai Bing and Deep Ng Ho Hong to the worship ceremony. Yeung Sau Sing celebrated Yen Chi Tan's 50th birthday Saturday in advance. Chan Tak Sum also presented the film's 12 inch figure to him as a present, which made Yen Chi Tan rather happy.

Yen Chi Tan said, "Every year I have a few days that I don't work on, my wife's birthday, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day. I definitely would stop working on my birthday. People can't work everyday." Reportedly this film will salute the elders of action, Yen Chi Tan admitted that he would not have a lot of pressure because of that. Mainly he wanted to pay tribute to them from his heart. In comparison self breakthrough would have the most pressure, in addition the idea of the salute came from the director. In action scenes with Yeung Choi Nei, did he have to accommodate? Yen Chi Tan said, "Whether she has any martial art experience or not, as long as she is an actress I would accommodate. Yeung Choi Nei pointed out that she played a police officer in the film and only needed to use a gun. She did not need ot fight. She said, "Before hand I went to classes to learn about guns, I hope they are helpful to the shoot. (Did you ask Yen Chi Tan to teach you kung fu?) Working together on the shoot is already a lot of fun. Watching him in fight scenes on the set, I was already wowed. I focused on gun practices, to the point that I wouldn't blink when I fire. (Would you have any kiss scene with Yen Chi Tan?) Our relationship isn't this type at all, with (Alex) Fong Chung Shum I have a little romance."

When Fong Chung Shun and Yeung Choi Nei posed for photos, he had a smug look and said that this time finally he was able to hug his childhood goddess.

He joked, "I am 30 something too, the shoot has quite a first love feel. Now all my self confidence is back. Sammi Cheng Sau Man, Andy Lau Tak Wa two nights ago attended the film BLIND DETECTIVE (MAN TAM) premiere. Media Asia film boss Peter Lam Kin Ngok, Emperor Motion Picture boss Albert Yeung Sau Sing, Lo Hoi Pang, Mak Bau, Chun Wong, Mimi Choo, Keung Ho Man, Lo Fun, Wilfred Lau Ho Lung, Sherry Chan Shuang, and Kibby Lau Lei came to show their support. The premiere raised HK$800,000 for Lok Sin Tong Benevolence Society.

Sammi talked about her foul language scene in the film. "It's more vulgar than usual, but it was acting so I didn't mind. I am very happy that the character has potential." She said that normally on the streets she would hear people using foul language so during the shoot she tried to interpret it with different voices. Wa Jai joked, "I taught her as well, it's better to demonstrate with action than with the mouth."

Reporters pointed out that three days ago was Wa Jai's 5th wedding anniversary. Sammi congratulated Wa Jai when she heard. Wa Jai said, "It's the 5th anniversary of being exposed." How did he celebrate? Wa Jai said, "It's OK, it was spent normally at home. I didn't buy any gift." Sammi said that she did not deliberately invite boyfriend Andy Hui Chi On to the premiere but hoped that On Jai would buy tickets and go 3, 5, 7 times. In the film Ah Sa was the manager of a girl group. "In the film I was very mean. When they danced poorly in rehearsal or performed poorly, I would withhold food and sleep from them." This was her meanest character to date. She said, "Actually playing mean is pretty tough, even Mani (Fok Man Hei) isn't this mean."

Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin two nights ago attended the 16th Shanghai International Film Festival with boss Albert Yeung Sau Sing, manager Mani Fok Man Hei and several junior colleagues. They attended her film THE MIDAS TOUCH (CHIU CUP GAING LEI YUN) press conference. Emperor Motion Pictures landed over HK$10 million in jewelry sponsorship for Ah Sa nad others and arranged for them to walk the red carpet. The red carpet was a piece of cake for Ah Sa, she saw how nervous her junior colleagues were and immediately encouraged them. Two nights ago Yeung Sau Sing invited Oliver Stone to dinner and catch up. Ah Sa was one of the guests and even chatted with him.

Although she was busy with work, Ah Sa yesterday still took time to have Japanese food with Sa Pa to celebrate Father's Day; the father and the daughter both wore sunglasses. Ah Sa wrote online, "I wish all the Papas in the world a Happy Father's Day. Daddy I love you!" Choi Cheuk Yin and Mainland artist Gao Yunxiang walked the red carpet for their film THE MIDAS TOUCH. Playing a couple Ah Sa and Gao Yunxiang also had great chemistry off screen. They both chose to wear black and white.

In the film Ah Sa played a manager who made Gao Yunxiang into a star with both love and a desire to control. The story was based on a true story as it unveiled a Hong Kong show business survival story. Yeung Sau Sing even brought Ah Sa to Mainland actor Xu Zheng's Japanese restaurant to meet with Hollywood director Oliver Stone and celebrate his Film Award for Lifetime Achievement at the film festival.

Reportedly a Hollywood film company is interested in investing HK$800 million to remake Akira Kurosawa's SEVEN SAMURAI with Chi Tan, Zhang Ziyi and George Clooney. Chi Tan admitted that he has been in negotiations for the film that wanted him to work with Ziyi and George Clooney, but he was uncertain about the details. He only knew that it would be an Akira Kurosawa film remake. He said, "If it really is a SEVEN remake I would look forward to it very much, because Kurosawa was a director who I admired."
