The 1989 film release ALL ABOUT AH LONG (AH LONG DIK GOO SI) was a box office and critical hit with over HK$30 million back then! 24 years later, the "film industry iron triangle" of Chow Yun Fat, Sylvia Chang (Cheung Ngai Ga) and Johnnie To Kei Fung will reunite on the big screen for a film adaptation of the play DESIGN FOR LIVING (WA LAI SEUNG BAN JOOK ji SUN WOOT YU SUN CHUEN). To Sir will direct, Chow Yun Fat and Cheung Ngai Ga will star. Eason Chan Yik Shun and Tang Wei will also take part as the production will start at the end of September!

Last year Cheung Ngai Ga revealed that DESIGN will be made into a film. Later she turned the script over to To Kei Fung. Wai Ka Wai became the screen writer. At the time To Sir already planned for Cheung Ngai Ga to be the lead actress and Chow Yun Fat was a lock for the lead actor, as he swore to bring the ALL ABOUT AH LONG iron triangle back to the big screen after 24 years. Back then Fat Gor with the film won the Hong Kong Film Award Best Actor, even the theme song PERHAPS UNEASY was heard on every corner. Actually, Cheung Ngai Ga also suggested to To Sir to ask Fat Gor to perform. Although they have not worked together for years, they stayed in touch. When he received the invitation, Fat Gor agreed right away!

Fat Gor is working on the film FROM VEGAS TO MACAU (DOH SING FUNG WON). To Sir is busy with the Vic Chou Yu Man, Louis Koo Tin Lok and Miriam Yeung Chin Wa starred DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART 2. The soonest the new film will start production will be at the end of September. Aside from Fat Gor and Cheung Ngai Ga, Chan Yik Shun and Tang Wei will also perform. Busy with his concerts, Eason and his good friend Nicholas Tse Ting Fung both have the chance to work with Fat Gor. Eason's end of the year schedule will completely belong to the production as he planned to learn from Fat Gor.

Eason Chan Yik Shun turned 39 two days ago and spent it with over 10,000 viewers in the Hong Kong Coliseum. His wife Hilary Tsui Ho Ying, daughter Hong Tai, friends Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Josie Ho Chiu Yi, Edmond Leung Hong Man, Jaycee Chan (Fong Cho Ming), Fiona Sit Hoi Kei, even his secondary school classmate and teacher came to share the joy. During the encore, Ting Fung and friends rose to the stage with a cake and led a rendition of the birthday song. Eason was so excited that he sang 3 songs in a row, until 11:30PM when he reluctantly waved goodbye.

When he saw Ting Fung brought out the stage shaped cake, he was surprised and said, "You!" Ting Fung said, "It's your manager('s fault)!" Fong Cho Ming held a camera to capture the valuable moment. The funniest was when Ho Chiu Yi asked the audience if anyone had a lighter for the candles. Ting Fung joked, "We really don't have on! We all quit smoking." Eason joked that the figure on the center of the cake had a nose like Fong Cho Ming's and looked like George Lam Chi Cheung.

Eason Chan Yik Shun last night celebrated his 39th birthday in the Hong Kong Coliseum. Two nights ago after the 19th show of his concert, the crew suddenly gathered backstage, brought out a cake and sang the birthday song to celebrate with Eason, bringing the birthday boy endless joy and surprise.

Eason was nicknamed "blow god", thus everyone prepared 39 trick candles to play a prank on him. He had to keep blowing in 360 degrees before he was able to blow out all the candles. Earlier cam another pile of candles that only burnt brighter when blown, they left a big hole in the cake's white chocolate candy. Eason laughed so hard his belly was aching. Hilary Tsui Ho Ying and their daughter Hong Tai, Eason's parents and others were backstage to celebrate with the birthday boy. Almost 300 fans were outside the Hong Kong Coliseum, waited for him to com out to sang a birthday song to him.

This week, many friends kept appearing in th Hong Kong Coliseum to cheer on Eason, including Josie Ho Chiu Yi, Zhou Xun, Dior Cheng Yi Kin, Sandra Ng Kwan Yu and hr family, Shine and others.

Famous fashion and image designer Lau Pui Kei earlier said in a radio interview recording that starting tomorrow to January 13 his work will be on display at the Heritage Museum. This year happened to be the tenth anniversary of Anita Mui Yim Fong's passing, visitors will have a chance to catch a glimpse of Mui Jeh's classic stage fashion. Mui Jeh's protege Denise Ho Wan Si also attended in support. Lau Pui Kei said, "Over the years I made so many pieces, the most sentimental was Mui Jeh's white wedding gown." Today an opening ceremony will take place. Friends like Eason Chan Yik Shun and Liza Wang Ming Chuen will attend.

The 32 year old Nicholas Tse Ting Fung has been in show business for over 10 years and experienced marriage, parenthood, divorce and career rises and falls. He has become much more mature. He sentimentally said, "Everyone should live in the moment. Many city people think too much, first they should do what makes them happy. Actually sometimes nothing exciting is already great. When I have time I would dine with my family. If you don't think too much, you would be happier." When asked if he will wed again, he said, "If you ask me now definitely no. I am a very dull person, how can I? If I have a new female companion, everyone would know. Let love develop naturally! Can you force it?" He said that now he would only focus on work and taking care of his two sons. Ting Fung praised former wife Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi. "I am considered a strict father, Pak Chi and I are on the same side, she has taught them very well. Both sons are very polite, obedient, and wouldn't talk a lot to bother others. Pa kChi as a mother deserves a lot of credit."

Ting Fung's friend Eason Chan Yik Shun revealed that they planned to make a movie together. Eason said, "Ting Fung lately has more free time, we often chat about making a movie. Maybe in the next three, five seven years! However I am not young anymore (39 next month), I can't play a character in his twenties."

The Faye Wong and Li Yapeng founded Smile Angels Foundation charity banquet took place two nights ago and raised HK$56.196 million. Guests like Vicki Zhao Wei and Rosamund Kwan Chi Lam won their auction bids. Li Yapeng's wealthy Mainland businessman friend Qian Fenglei bid 30 million to bring the auction to its peak. Li Yapeng was so happy that he jokingly called him "Chin Dor Dor' (a lot of money).

Two nights ago was the 7th birthday of Faye Wong and Li Yapeng's daughter Li Yan, although Li Yapeng claimed that his daughter was not present actually Li Yan arrived already. Faye Wong held her daughter and sat next to Zhao Wei, no wonder she did not perform. Only when Zhao Wei was calling an auction she went on stage to help. Many stars donated their money and effort. Zhao Wei won her bid for a Japanese artist's work WARM NORTH POLE with 1.28 million. Kwan Chi Lam with 1.2 million won a sculpture GAME. Shirley Cheung Yuk San donated 300,000 and donated artwork for the eleventh auction item that was sold for 3 million.

With an opening bid of 3 million, Zeng Fanzhi's work received a starting bid of 5 million from Mainland star Deng Chao, then a man in a white shirt bid 30 million and wow the crowd. Li Yapeng dragged the white shirted man to the stage. Actually he was the rich Mainland businessman Qian Fenglei who immigrated to Hong Kong. Li Yapeng joked that his nickname was "Chin Dor Dor". "Last year, 'Chin Dor Dor' was already the bid king of Smile Angels. He offered 20 million RMB for a jade Goddess of Mercy. This year I didn't feel right about asking 'Dor Dor' to come. I only asked him to sit quietly and not to donate money." Qian Fenglei said, "I work for a living. I am from Ningbo, if I don't donate to Smile Angels, who would I donate to?" When Li Yapeng announced the amount raised he joked that he was dizzy from drinking too much wine and asked the host to help and read it. The evening raised 56.196 million. After the event, Li Yapeng put his arm around "Chin Dor Dor" and left. He happily raised a victory sign and pouted, "I am very satisfied with the result. I hope to motivate even more Hong Kongers to support the foundation."

When Eason Chan Yik Shun performed, he said that he and Faye Wong belonged to the same manager so Faye Wong was like a big sister to him. He revealed that Charles Heung Wa Keung and his wife donated 1 million to support his performance. Mrs. Heung also donated 2.48 million for a Goddess of Mercy statue. "I know the hospitals need a lot of money. I don't want just Mainlanders to donate money and put Hong Kongers to shame. So I have to donate too!" Kenny Been (Chung Chun To) who performed with his daughter joked, "My daughter hasn't finished her homework yet, so she was very nervous when she went on the stage. She has to retire from music!"

Miriam Yeung Chin Wa and Real Ting Chi Ko two nights ago called the auction of a gold necklace. They even sang SMALL CITY BIG EVENT acappella. Although Ting Chi Ko was all red from singing, Tsang Bo Yi joked that someone wanted to donate money for him to stop singing. Finally Chin Wa performed with Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai). The necklace went to Deng Chao for 1 million. Chin Wa made fun of her husband, Sometimes I suspect that he loves singing more than me!" Ting Chi Ko claimed that he forgot the lyrics. The 2009 Miss Hong Kong Tong Xiaoyan won the bid for the Emme Wong Yi Man donated diamond watch for 1 million. Back then due to a variety of negative news she suddenly resigned from the pageant.
