The Chow Yun Fat, Nicholas Tse Ting Fung and Chapman To Man Jat starred Lunar New Year Film FROM VEGAS TO MACAU (DOH SING FUNG WON) is heating up in production. Although Fat Gor has not appeared yet, Ting Fung, To Man Jat, Natalie Meng Yao and other actors have been working nonstop. Two nights ago they shot a fight scene in a Ngau Tau Kok alley. Ting Fung had to use a folding chair to hit Ricky Wong Chun Tong in the back of the head. Director Wong Jing and producer Andrew Lau Wai Keung personally supervised.

Ting Fung was very professional. When he arrived at the set he immediately focused on the production, he used the folding chair to test the mark on his head. Then he sat on the chair and enjoyed a cigar. Ting Fung, Lau Wai Keung, To Man Jat and others chatted and laughed. Seemingly his rumor with Zhou Xun has not affected him. Nicholas Tse Ting Fung recently was linked in rumors with Mainland actress Zhou Xun as well as fellow Best Actor Tony Leung Chiu Wai. Ting Fung could not care less as he entered the Lunar New Year film production FROM VEGAS TO MACAU (DOH SING FUNG WON). Yesterday Ting Fung often showed his smile on the set; when speaking of rumors, he said, "No comment!" Chapman To Man Jat meanwhile looked forward to working with Chow Yun Fat next week in Macau.

The Chow Yun Fat, Tse Ting Fung and To Man Jat starred Lunar New Year film FROM VEGAS TO MACAU recently began production. For days they have been shooting in a Kwai Fong coffee shop. The entire street has been on lock down as many looked on and took photos. Key actors Ting Fung, Ah Jat, Hui Siu Hung and others arrived around 5PM. Director Wong Jing and producer Andrew Lau Wai Kung were present. Ah Jat came out of the trailer with a injured look. When asked about the progress, Ah Jat said, "We have been at work for a few days, but we haven't seen Fat Gor yet. We probably won't run into him until we will go to Macau next week. Because Ting Fung and I will go to Macau to become his disciples, we will have a lot of scenes together." He joked that he would not need to ask Fat Gor for acting advice because he could not learn no matter what. He has given up long ago. Instead he wanted to study photography with him. Ah Jat revealed, "I believe the shoot will take around three months. Working with Ting Fung, he will be responsible for being cool. I will be responsible for comedy. Our posts will be different."

Director Wong Jing, producer Andrew Lau Wai Kung led Tse Ting Fung, To Man Jat, Max Zhang Jun and Hui Siu Hung to shoot at a food stall. Before taking his mark Ting Fung turned into the Grand Master as he grabbed Zhang Jun to study martial art. In FROM VEGAS TO MACAU Ah Jat and Ting Fung were close like brothers, but because the girl Ah Jat liked was upset about his smoking and was fond of Ting Fung they began to argue over the girl. They began at the food stall. Ah Jat angrily chain smoked like a bong. He even started trouble. When he saw neighbor Zhang Jun passing by, he picked on him and picked a fight.

Chow Yun Fat and Nicholas Tse Ting Fung yesterday announced their participation in the TVB Lunar New Year film. The Hollywood superstar Fat Gor returned home to go to war for TVB and received the star treatment. Director Wong Jing even revealed that he charged his Hollywood film rate for a Hong Kong film. Reportedly, Fat Gor's Hollywood rate was US$8 million. During the event, Fat Gor and his first time co-star Ting Fung joked around. He said that he received care from Patrick Tse Yin and Deborah Li, so he had to return the favorite and "pick on" Ting Fung.

Although the film had the words DOH SING (gambling city) it actually will be a police film. To Man Jat will provide the comedy, Ting Fung the action, he will just perform. It will not have andy shade of his old film GOD OF GAMBLERS (DOH SUN).

Fat Gor has not worked on a Lunar New Year film and a Hong Kong film for a long time. He lamented, "Ting Fung is so big already, married with children." Ting Fung said, "I am divorced!" Fat Gor joked, "I didn't know, sorry. You divorce sooner than me!" Ting Fung joked that he felt like he was stabbed.

Recently he has been watching TRIUMPH IN THE SKIES 2 (CHUNG SEUNG WON SIU 2): "(Francis) Ng Chun Yu, Cheung Chi Lam both have a lot of flavors, they are my idols; (Kenneth) Ma Kwok Ming is a bad boy, with so many girlfriends; (Myolie Wu) Hung Yi is very tough with her brother, like she is trying to kill him!" Would he be interested in TRIUMPH IN THE SKIES 3? Fat Gor joked, "Yes, I definitely have to play a captain, the manager inside the cabin, the type that arranges for table for two. However I am afraid that I wouldn't be tough enough to make a series." He also praised KARMA RIDER (SI FU MING BAK LIU)'s Priscilla Wong Chui Yu for her good performance. As for Ricky Wong Wai Kay's application for a free television broadcast license, Fat Gor said, "Seemingly the government already promised it in the last term, this term the government hasn't issued a license to him? Later he definitely will receive on. More television stations are good for more programs."

To Man Jat's salary will be double of when he made Raymond Wong Pak Ming's Lunar New Year film. He joked that aside from "pumping water", he will also study photography with Fat Gor and Wing Chun with Ting Fung. He said, "I hope the film will be finished by October, then I will work on NAKED AMBITION 2 (HO CHING 2). In that film I will work with over 100 adult video actresses. They are used to making category IV films and don't understand why Hong Kong makes a category III one. They even want to invite me to rehearse in Japan and teach positioning. If in the end I really have to do it for real, I wouldn't mind. However I would have to ask the Old Lady first."

Grand Master of a generation Master Lau Kar Leung's funeral took place yesterday at the Universal Funeral Parlor. Widow Mary Jean Reimer (Yung Jing Jing) lightly touched the body before the coffin closing and sobbed to bid her late husband farewell reluctantly. Chief disciple Adam Cheng Siu Chau along with fellow disciple Sin Kwok Lam, his disciple Rose Chan Ka Wun waved banners to clear the road and accompanied 3 filial lions that bowed to the hearse to send Master Lau on his final journey.

Around 9AM, funeral committee chair Nat Chan Pak Cheung, Wong Hung Sau, Karl Maka, Dean Shek Tin, Petrina Fung Bo Bo, Mr. and Mrs. John Chiang Dai Wai, Yasuaki Kurata, Mr. and Mrs. Tong Kai, Andrew Lau Wai Kung, Lau Chin Shek, Joe Cheung Tung Cho, Chan Ka Wun, Mr. and Mrs. Chin Kar Lok, Connie Chan Bo Chu and others arrived to pay their respect. A calm Yung Jing Jing often smiled when she chatted with Ng See Yuen and Melvin Wong Kam Sun; around 9:35AM after Eric Tsang Chi Wai bowed at the altar and presented incense gave his condolences to the family and Yung Jing Jing; after around 10 minutes, Master Lau's chief disciple Cheng Siu Chau arrived. He said, "Last night I didn't sleep well, I was missing Master all night."

When the ceremony began, after Yung Jing Jing's speech Master Lau's coffin was moved to the center of the hall. 3 filial lion bowed into the hall, circled the coffin once then again offered the third step kneel nine step kowtow ceremony to the coffin. Then a viewing took place. Yung Jing Jing immediately went up but the hall official urged her to return to the family section and wait. After family and friends went through the viewing, Yung Jing Jing again stood in front of the coffin with her hands together and gave three bows. When she lightly touched the body, sh finally broke down and sobbed. Yung Jing Jing's daughters whose eyes were swollen from crying waited by the coffin and quietly looked at their father for a long time. After the viewing ceremony, guests each held one stick of incense and bowed to Master Lau. The abbot then host the scripture recital, followed by the coffin closing ceremony.

Around 12:40PM, when Master Lau's coffin was transported to the hearse, Master Lau's son with his former wife, Lau Wing Keung, carried a spirit tablet to enter the vehicle. Yung Jing Jing and her daughters followed with Master Lau's photo. The three filial lions that sent Master on his final journey bowed in front of the hearse. Then disciples Sin Kwok Lam, Cheng Siu Chau, disciple's disciple Chan Ka Wun led the disciples in a banner waving as the police opened the road for the departure. Master Lau's remains would temporarily stayed in the Tung Wah Coffin Home, until a lucky day will be selected for a Po Lin Monastery cremation.

The younger generation recalled a lot of memories about Master Lau. Director Lau Wai Keung could not forget about starting as a chore boy and photographer with Master Lau in 1981. His impression of the Master was a giant and a kung fu master. He said, "He was very amazing, whether as an actor or as a stunt coordinator he was very fast. Normally a shoot would increase the speed by one frame for action scenes, but for Master Lau's martial art scenes it had to be slowed by 26 frames. His action was too fast."

Chin Kar Lok said that Master Lau watched him grow up. In his teens he already followed Master Lau as a stuntman and an actor, and he learned alot. He said, "Master was very willing to help others. When he asked me to make DRUNKEN MASTER 2 (JUI KUEN 2), I picked up taking marks, basic foundation, martial art action from him. Thus I have shades of Master on me." Master Lau gave Wong Hung Sau her start. Recalling when she studied martial arts with Master Lau at Shaw, she said, "I fought until I puked, but after he taught me I could make action films. He never yelled at me, but he was very demanding with the moves."
